Bill Cosby “I’m 83 and Tired”: Muslims in America

Bill Cosby “I’m 83 and Tired”

Note: In light of a recent interview with Bill Cosby (found HERE), this quote seems to have been, in fact, a misquote.  I will leave this article here as a place holder.

I’ve worked hard since I was 17. Except for when I was doing my National Service, I put in 50-hour weeks, and didn’t call in sick in nearly 40 years. I made a reasonable salary, but I didn’t inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where

  1. Alma says:

He didn’t write this. He denounced it. You’re apparently on the internet, haven’t you figured out how to fact check before posting bigoted nonsense?

    “Statement from Bill Cosby:

If you got the BOGUS email, it’s time to hit DELETE!

There’s an email floating around — entitled “I’m 76 and tired” — purportedly sent by me. I did not write the email, I did not send the email, I’m not 76, and I don’t subscribe to the ugly views expressed in the email. We are coming up to an important anniversary on Sunday, which is a day when we should all come together. Whoever wrote this email is not thinking about our country, or what is important. If you get the email, it’s time to hit DELETE.”

    1. TheEditor says:

So you come into a forum, without facts, citing no data, and tell others they need to “check their facts”.

We don’t do our research on “snopes”. We prefer to research at the source of the information, as opposed to people like you that seem to be part of spreading disinformation.

If you consider telling the truth to be “ugly”, I can only assume that you don’t like telling or hearing the truth. Sometimes people need to hear it, as opposed to burying their heads in the sand to run from it.

Then again, if you have proof of your statement that this is “bogus”, and proof goes far beyond mainstream tripe or what you might read on some worthless site like “snopes”, please share it. Otherwise perhaps we should hit delete on your disinformation.

      1. B. Helto says:

Nobody suggested snopes. Look anywhere. Cosby himself, for starters.

        1. TheEditor says:

That makes no sense. “look anywhere”. If you have supporting evidence to the contrary, feel free to present it. You have provided nothing. No links to Cosby interviews or videos, nothing.

If you have nothing, then your point is lost.

  2. MSMsucks says:

Yet no mention of the 3 billion a year that goes to Israel who spies on us more than any other Country and has been involved in false flag attacks on us like the USS Liberty. I share whoever wrote this in their frustration (it’s not from Cosby), but it’s time to look at the real terrorists hiding behind our Government as our Government is just the face, and the ugly heart is the Federal Reserve and the families that own it.

    1. lol yes your right Muslims are not terrorists they are good hard working people who not only love there country they love america and would do nothing to harm it #said by no one #9-11 #bosten marathon #syria being destroyed but no one does anything to help but yet again if a non real state gets spied on Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Egypt all mange to get really mad and threatened the world with there nukes … stop trying to show how hurt you guys are and your the victim after last week no one cares you all lie and would love nothing more then to hurt people

      1. TheEditor says:

Wow, talk about a bigot. I’m glad that all people from your country aren’t like you are.

      2. Sssssss says:

Show any proof any where that Islam is a peaceful religion. Everywhere that Islam is dominant, it displays itself as a terrorist, even among its own followers.
Maybe Bill Cosby did not originate this writing, but its all true nonetheless.

  3. TheEditor says:

So you post a link to a Youtube video of some guy talking about what he feels with pictures of Cosby on the screen? If that is your “news” source, or your source for research, perhaps you might want to rethink where you get your information.

    1. Ken E. says:

Bells should already be ringing just on the basis of age. Why would Bill Cosby address himself as 83 years old when in fact he’s 75 years old! Try looking for Robert A. Halls as he is the one who wrote this “endearing” letter. Simple fact checking can go along way.

  4. TheEditor says:

We do not allow people to post unverified information on this site. The links you provided cite the known disinformation site “snopes” as their research site. No video interviews or other verifiable sources. If you do your research on “snopes”, then you have no standing to link to data from them.

    1. dan says:

Is Bill Cosby’s own website enough proof that these aren’t his words?

Speaking of “unverified information”, where was it verified that he DID say this? Where’s the ORIGINAL source?

      1. TheEditor says:

Anyone can buy a domain, post on it, and use it to make money. The only proof would be a video interview, which no one here can seem to produce.

The only response here are from what someone else has written. Nothing anyone has responded with is substantiated.

    2. Anna says:

Does this link of the originally posted document by a conservative politician in 2009 help?

You don’t do your research on Snopes, but wherever you do it, you still don’t do it very well. This has been going around the internet since Robert Hall said it years ago, and he should get credit, not some other guy.

Here’s another source of Bill Cosby actually refuting it on his own website.

      1. TheEditor says:

You are not allowed to childishly insult others on this forum. Consider this your first warning. If it happens again, your login/IP address will be permanently banned.

  5. SCS says:

It’s so ridiculous that people actually believe Cosby said this….and even sadder that they agree with it.

    1. TheEditor says:

So you’re saying that you have nothing to counter with. You have no proof that he did not say it, but you have some feeling from somewhere that causes you to label others.

You do understand that your statement is that of a bigot, right? Calling the other guests on our site “ridiculous” because they have a different viewpoint than you do. Labeling and categorizing others that believe differently than you. You have defined yourself for everyone else here.

      1. Blake S. says:

This is the original blog post that the text was copied from. It’s from Robert A Hall, a former Senator from Massachusetts and was posted Feb 19, 2009. It’s a great post and Hall is a great American. He deserves the credit, not Obama supporter and Hollywood liberal Bill Cosby!

  6. SRBChristian says:

Great thing about a site like is that they commonly embed citations and links to further support what is written. For example, when they state that Bill Cosby himself has directly addressed the letter and false claim of having been penned by him, they provide a link going directly to his website where he has a public release saying just that posted right there.

No need to claim lack of facts here or that your website does its due diligence in going straight to the source for the source in this actual matter, Dr. Cosby himself, has made it quite clear that he has nothing to do with this letter.

    1. TheEditor says:

As I stated above, snopes is not a source where any thinking person should go to do their research. It is biased and has little, if any, substance.

As to your second link, anyone can buy a domain name and post in it. Domains like this are worth a lot of money if properly monetized, so the link to another site is worthless. Unless you have a video from Cosby, your response lacks substance.

  7. TheEditor says:

As it would seem, there are a lot of responses as to the accuracy of this quote, but nothing as to the content. I would assume then, that you all agree with the sentiment.

  8. […] sharing rather hateful, factually inaccurate articles or images. This one really upset me a lot: “I’m 83 and I’m Tired” by Bill Cosby. You know the one, where Bill Cosby (who is actually 75) starts off with how he’s worked hard […]
